Sharing the Future: Public Involvement in the Kansas Transportation System

The goal for the Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) public involvement program is to build and sustain relationships with citizens, businesses, legislators, and other government organizations in order to enhance the agency’s decisions. KDOT recognizes that public participation plays an important role in decisions concerning planning, programming, development, construction, and maintenance of the State Transportation System. Sharing the Future was created to guide the agency’s public involvement processes and to promote understanding of the public’s role in helping (KDOT) fulfill its mission.
