Metalloporphyrins as a catalyst in C–C bond formation

2021
Abstract Metalloporphyrins is an important class of compound with wide versatility in modification. Two important modification sites are known in literature i.e. axial modification and peripheral modification. These compounds have versatile applications such as catalyst in hydrogen generation, C–H activation, artificial photosynthesis, C–C bond formation as well as photodynamic therapy in cancer treatment, etc. Here in, we have specifically discussed porphyrins based compounds in C–C bond formation in development of class of compounds useful at industrial level.
