Growth characteristic and production of antibacterial substance of marine fungal Fy-04

The growth characteristic and culture conditions of producing antibacterial substance of marine fungal Fy-04 isolated from sea mud were investigated in this paper.The results showed that the optimum growth conditions were as follows:NaCl content 2g/100ml,initial pH value 6.0~7.0,the time of reaching growth peak in based fermentation culture medium 72h~96h and the time of reaching the highest antibacterial substance content 72h.Inhibiting diameter of strain Fy-04 on Staphylococcus aureus and on Escherichia coli were 34.1mm and 23.7mm,respectively.
