Practicas agroforestales apropiadas para zonas tropicales húmedas y aridas de la provincia de El Oro

2018
In the province of El Oro, there is a great variety of ecosystems where you can apply appropriate agroforestry techniques to obtain agricultural and livestock products trying to be kind to the environment. Three most outstanding environmental ecosystems of the province's littoral are considered. The arid ecosystem starts from the farms of the Huaquillas canton and its semi-desert zone, limiting the neighboring country of Peru. The humid zone goes down from the mountainous elevations of the provinces Loja and Azuay, are zones used for the cattle ranch and the foreigner; finally the tropical zone is in great proportion the tropical rain forest. In tropical ecosystems, climatic conditions will be taken into account and how to use them in favor. It is suggested to use those practices that protect from wind and rain. In subtropical ecosystems, it is important to grow legumes since these would provide fodder for the animals and help in soil recovery. In arid ecosystems it should be noted that the spaces for agricultural work are limited compared to other ecosystems. We must take care of the plots and the soil optimizing spaces and times of crops. This research is based on the practice of appropriate and environmentally friendly agroforestry techniques for the conservation of the soils, flora and fauna of the coast of the province of El Oro; this way we will obtain a better use of resources and significant acquisition of agricultural products regardless of the spaces and availability of personnel that exists.
