A hybrid eddy-viscosity/Reynolds-stress model for non-equilibrium turbulent boundary layers
1991
A turbulence closure model, intended for the calculation of the two-dimensional separating boundary layers is presented. Inside the boundary layer a shear stress distribution of eddy viscosity type is used. This distribution deduced by applying an integro-differential formulation (IDF) to the equation of the kinetic energy, is associated with an ordinary differential equation (ODE) for the maximum value of the shear stress.
