Syntheses and characterization of amino(pentafluorophenyl)boranes. Crystal structure of [(Me3Si)2NB(C6F5)2]

Abstract The chloroborane, C1B(C 6 F 5 ) 2 , has been investigated as a useful synthon for the preparation of a series of amino(pentafluorophenyl)boranes. The compounds [(Me 3 Si) 2 NB(C 6 F 5 ) 2 ], 1 , [(Me 3 Si)(H)NB(C 6 F 5 ) 2 ], 2 , and [HN{B(C 6 F 5 ) 2 } 2 ], 3 , have been synthesised and 1 has been characterised by X-ray crystallography.
