Los mecanismos elementales de circulación en América del norte y su relación con las situaciones sinópticas que influyen sobre la mitad occidental de Cuba

2020
To establish the relationship between the elementary mechanisms of circulation in North America and the synoptic situations that influence the western half of Cuba, daily data from the Dzerdzeevskii classification and the types of synoptic situations that influence Cuba during the period 1971-2017 were used. The result shows the seasonality of the established relationships, where longitudinal circulations and types of anticyclonic situations predominate, with variations in the frequency of occurrence according to each climatic season of the year; winter (december-february) marked by north longitudinal circulations that are related to migratory anticyclonic situations and summer (june-august) by southern longitudinal circulations that are related to oceanic anticyclonic situations; as well as, two transition periods between those stations where changes in the types of longitudinal circulations occur and the variability of synoptic situations is high. Finally, trends were established for the types of synoptic situations, according to their relationship with the characteristics of the predominant atmospheric circulation, longitudinal north and longitudinal south.
