A Parallel Analytical Computation of Synchronous Reluctance Machine

2018
This paper presents a parallel analytical computation of synchronous reluctance machines. It is based on two different analytical models, which take into account the geometry, the winding configuration and the material used. Through such models, it is possible to accurately estimate the performance of the motor, in particular regarding the torque capability, the torque ripple, the efficiency, power factor and also the efficiency map in the torque/power vs speed plane. The models were tested against finite element analysis for three different operating conditions, proving to be quite accurate in a much shorter amount of time.
