VALUTAZIONE CIRCOLARE DEGLI INTERVENTI DI RIUSO ADATTIVO: IL CASO DELLA CITTA’ DI TORINO

During the year 2019, the Global Footprint Network stated that on 29 July mankind used all the natural resources that the Earth can regenerate in the course of a year. This data highlights the weight of our economic and productive activities on the planet. These is one of the consequences produced by the linear economy which has been based the process of “take, make, dispose” step-by-step plan. Is there a paradigm that can reverse this course? Can the city and architecture be two key sectors for initiating change? And how can we intervene and evaluate it? This article aims to analyze the concept of circular economy applied to the urban context and architectural design through the circular evaluation of adaptive reuse interventions on the abandoned industrial heritage of the city of Turin.   Keywords: circular economy, evaluation, adaptive reuse
