Influence of the shear deformation of a medium on the kinetics of bimolecular chemical reactions in polymers

A kinematic effect of the increase in the rate of bimolecular chemical reactions in polymers under conditions of the shear deformation of a medium is theoretically studied. A simplified model which clearly illustrates the mechanism of the phenomenon and allows one to make quantitative estimates is introduced.
