Phase transitions for the anisotropic Heisenberg model

Abstract The long-range, anisotropic Heisenberg model is solved exactly for quantum spin- 1 2 and classical spin systems with constant couplings between all spins and for classical spin systems with Kac-couplings. The resulting thermodynamic behavior is discussed.
