Determination of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in seawater using stir bar sorptive extraction-gas chromatography

2005
The determination of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (pahs) in seawater was performed by stir bar sorptive extraction (sbse)-thermal desorption and gas chromatographic ( gc) analysis. the extraction conditions such as extraction time and addition of salt we're studied. the recoveries of the method were at the range of 33.5% similar to 122.4% for 16 pahs. the limits of detection were 2.74 similar to 13.5 ng/l, the rsds of the method were 3.8 similar to 13.1%. the pahs in real life samples from the beaches of dalian were determined by using sbse-gc.
