Coupling Path and Distribution Characteristics of Pulse Disturbance on High Speed EMU Body

2019
Pulse disturbance are created when the train raises its pantograph or pantograph arcing. It is coupled into the train body through the high-voltage cable in the electric multiple unit (EMU), which will cause the train body potential fluctuation and jeopardize the normal operation of the EMU. This paper provides a comprehensive analysis of the conduction path of this pulse disturbance. First, the coupling path between the pulse and the train body was studied by establishing the equivalent circuit and then calculating the distribution parameters. The induced voltage was obtained by simulation which was in good agreement with the actual measurement results. Then the distribution of current on the train body was analyzed, and the surface current distribution on the train body was calculated by the finite difference time domain method. Finally, the distribution of current at low frequency and high frequency was studied.
