La vocación en la identidad del maestro de Educación Infantil: una revisión de la última década

This research is an approximation of the role that the teaching vocation plays in the process of building the professional identity of the childhood education teacher. To this end; a systematic review of scientific production published in Spanish-speaking on this subject has been carried out over the past 10 years. Out of the 909 studies located; 40 were eventually selected. Out of this 40 studies; 33 are scientific articles and 7 doctoral theses. The results show that; between 2015 and 2019; there are a greater number of researches which are mostly done in Spain. The authors are mainly committed to qualitative research. Among the most researched topics are: the influence of vocation on the choice and performance of the profession; the practicum in initial training; and working conditions of the teaching profession. On the other hand; the least researched topics are: the impact of gender on the construction of the identity and role of the family in the choice and professional orientation of the teacher. It concludes with the recommendation to continue working on aspects such as responsibility; illusion and motivation to reinforce the vocational component of the teacher.
