Substructure formation in Mo-Re alloy single crystals produced by zone melting: I. Characteristics of cellular structure
1997
Broken cells having no fourfolds symmetry were shown to be the predendritic growth form in single crystals of the bcc Mo-47% Re alloy. The longitudinal and transverse nonuniformities of the cellular structure were revealed. The sizes of substructure constituents of the single crystals and the misorientation angles between them were determined.
