Formaldehyde elimination agent and preparation method thereof

2011
The invention relates to a formaldehyde elimination agent and a preparation method thereof, in particular to the elimination agent used for eliminating free formaldehyde in artificial board adhesives. The formaldehyde elimination agent comprises, by weight, 10%-20% of amino derivative A, 5%-10% of amino derivative B, 5%-10% of cosolvent C, 5%-10% of stabilizer D and the balance water. The preparation method includes the steps that all the raw materials are sequentially added into a reaction kettle and are stirred continuously so as to be evenly mixed until the raw materials are dissolved completely; meanwhile, the temperature is controlled to be 30-40 DEG C, the pH value is adjusted above 8.0 ultimately, and the materials are stirred continuously until the mixture is in a steady state. The formaldehyde elimination agent is high in formaldehyde elimination ratio, durable in effect and low in cost; no obvious crystallization phenomenon exists at a low temperature, an environment-friendly artificial board which is good in mechanical property and low in formaldehyde emission can be produced on the premise that the production efficiency of the artificial board is not lowered and the production cost of the artificial board is not increased, and the problem of formaldehyde pollution caused by the artificial board and products of the artificial board is solved fundamentally.
