A new architecture for birefringent optical interleaver using a ring resonator as a phase-dispersion element

2006
A new architecture with less components for an optical interleaver using a ring resonator is proposed. A wide 0.5 dB passband (0.725 times bandwidth), a large 25 dB stopband (0.725 times bandwidth), and a high channel isolation (36 dB) are demonstrated.
