Calcification in the adrenal glands associated with disseminated herpes simplex infection

Bilateral adrenal calcification was identified in a neonate at 7 weeks of age following Herpes Simplex Type I infection at 2 weeks of age. Calcification could be identified by plain films and ultrasound. Extensive hepatic calcification was also noted.
