American white moth was one of worldwide quarantine pests, and mainly damaged street trees, ornamental trees and fruit trees. It originated in North America, and mainly distributed in the United States, Canada, East European countries, Japan, Korea and other countries; in China, it mainly distributed in Liaoning, Hebei, Shandong, Tianjin, Shaanxi and other regions. The larva damaged forest leaves by group massing network, and feed on the leaves in the network, only left the tunica albuginea epidermis, and long dry. The control methods of American white moth were strengthening quarantine at first, and taking the agricultural control as the basis, chemical control as supplement, combining with physical control and biological control, in order to comprehensively control of American white moth.
