Versatile energy-savings additive for next generation lubricants

Conservation potential with lubricants can accrue from a number of sources. Extended drain intervals, lower viscosity, improved fuel economy, reduced downtime, reduced wear, production increases and higher utilis. From the experience gained to date, it appears that additive systems based on borate offer benefits in a variety of lubricants. Significant energy savings through lubrication may be realized if additive systems of this performance level are incorporated in the next generation of lubricants. 5 refs.
