The Brief Case: IMP, the Uncommonly Common Carbapenemase.

A 51-year-old male on hemodialysis with diabetes mellitus, end-stage renal disease, dyslipidemia, hypertension, and peripheral vascular disease was admitted to the hospital for bilateral lower leg diabetic foot infection and osteomyelitis. A wound swab was collected from a chronic ulcer on his left
