New 1212 type (Pb, Cd) based cuprate superconducting system (Pb0.5Cd0.5)Sr2(Tb1−xCax)Cu2O7

Abstract A new 1212 type (Pb,Cd) based cuprate superconducting system (Pb 0.5 Cd 0.5 )Sr 2 (Tb 1− x Ca x )Cu 2 O 7 has been prepared. It crystallizes in a tetragonal lattice with cell parameters: a = 3.822 A , c = 11.951 A and space group P4/mmm (for x = 0). The samples exhibit bulk superconductivity with a transition temperature of 19 K.
