Effect of Heat Treatment Conditions on the Properties of Nanoporous Glasses Activated by Gold Nanoparticles

2021
Nanoporous glass is a universal matrix in which impregnation with different substances can trigger the appearance of properties which are uncharacteristic for glass. Heat treatment, creating material with a specified structure and properties, can be used to control the porosity of the glass. In the present work the effect of heat treatment on the structure of gold-impregnated porous glass was studied and it became apparent that this material has potential as an active substrate for Raman scattering spectroscopy.
