Bacterial lipid droplets bind to DNA via an intermediary protein that enhances survival under stress

The MLDS protein is a major component of lipid droplets (LDs) in oleaginous bacteria. Here, Zhang et al. show that LDs bind to genomic DNA via MLDS, which enhances bacterial survival under certain stress conditions.
