The invention discloses a mine belt conveyer carrying roller state monitoring device and method based on infrared light. The mine belt conveyer carrying roller state monitoring device comprises a belt conveyer, an infrared emission device, an infrared receiving device and a receiver fixing device, wherein the infrared emission device comprises an infrared emitter, a Beidou module and a data processing module which are mounted inside the infrared emitter; the infrared emission device is mounted on the A side of a belt conveyer carrying roller in an embedded manner through an adhesive, and is not in contact with a belt; the receiver fixing device comprises an electric control device, a slide rail, a sliding block, a fixing head groove, a clamping opening and a fixing rod; the infrared receiving device is connected and locked with the fixing head groove and the clamping opening through the fixing head; and the infrared receiving device comprises an infrared receiver and a geographic position acquiring module mounted inside the infrared receiver. According to the mine belt conveyer carrying roller state monitoring device and the method based on infrared light, the working state of the carrying roller can be judged through reading the infrared signal receiving time, abnormal points can be located, and the carrying roller position can be monitored in real time.
