Studies on ISSR Marker of Artificial Aging Mustard Seed Genomic DNA

2010
ISSR molecular marker was applied to analyze the DNA damaging degree of artificial aging muster seed.Six primers suitable for studying aging mustard (Brassica juncea Coss.) seeds were selected from 18 primers. We found that along with the prolongation of aging time of muster seed with artificial aging treatment, the numbers of ISSR amplified bands were decreased and their color became light and even faded away. This indicated that during the seed storage, along with the intensification of aging,DNA damages was one of the factors influencing conservation of germplasm resources.
