Airborne pollen monitoring in Italy

1990
Abstract Monitoring of airborne pollen in Italy is described with particular reference to the allergenic pollen which is principally represented in Italy by Betulaceae, Compositae, Corylaceae, Fagaceae, Gramineae, Oleaceae, Plantaginaceae and Urticaceae. Monitoring activity is under the control of the Italian Association for Aerobiology founded in 1985 in Bologna and this is linked to the European Aeroallergen Network by the European Academic Research Network. The aims which have been realized and the future objectives of this association are illustrated here.
