Dependence of Nuclear Transparency for Incoherent electroproduction

Measurements of exclusive incoherent electroproduction of meson from , , and targets up to = 4 GeV are proposed using the CLAS detector. The objective of these measurements is to determine the dependence of the nuclear transparency ratio for the two nuclear targets : and at fixed coherence length of quark-antiquark fluctuations of the virtual photon. A sizeable rise of the nuclear transparency is predicted and can be measured in this experiment. A relatively large increase of the nuclear transparency can be considered as a signature of the onset of color transparency.
