Quantitative Modeling in Noncancer Risk Assessment

Noncancer risk assessment is an assessment of any noncancer human health effect(s) related to the exposure of a chemical. This assessment approach is based on the risk assessment paradigm developed by the National Research Council of the National Academy of Sciences (NAS, 1983). This paradigm breaks down the process of human health risk assessment into four components. These four components include:
