The final thesis is based on business plans as an information base for business desicion making. Management is a complex process that, through coordination of human factors, strives to achieve business goals, and it is consisted of five functions – planning, organizing, managing human resources, leading and controlling. Business plans are a product of planning function in which the business goals of the organization are summarized. The control function analyzes whether the business plans have been realized and it corrects any deviations. In the era of constant changes in the company environment, well-written business plans are the key to success. The theoretical part describes independence of planning and controlling as they are the fundamental management functions. In the application example, Trakoscan Castle's business plans and their impact on business decision-making and performance were analyzed.
