Dual-Band Dual-Circularly Polarized Folded Transmitarray Antenna Based on Metasurface

A novel low-profile folded transmitarray antenna (FTA) with dual-band and dual-circularly polarization is proposed in this paper. The FTA consists of a planar integrated feed source, a dual band shared-aperture transmission metasurface, and a linear polarization convert reflection metasurface. The results show that the FTA can realize the left-hand circular polarization (LHCP) beam at 11.6 GHz and right-hand circular polarization (RHCP) beam at 14 GHz. The proposed dual-band dual-circularly polarization FTA design has the advantage of low profile, high gain, easy fabrication, compact structure, and low cost.
