The five species and distribution of Paragonimus in Yunnan Province, China and adjacent Southeast Asian countries

Objective Yunnan Province and some adjacent Southeast Asian countries share same mountains and rivers while the species of Paragronimus is various and its distribution is widespread,as the result of the multifarious natural conditions,ecological environment and clustering distribution of animals and plants.The species of Paragronimus from these countries is almost identical,and the host and pathogenicity are also the same.Although some Paragronimus have different names,they appear same or similar in morphology and genetic characteristics showing higher homology,and probably synonyms of the species.This article reviewed the five species and distribution of Paragronimus in Yunnan province of China and adjacent Southeast Asian countries.
