Kinoform Optical Elements

1976
Optical methods have been considered for producing the simplest kinoform elements in thin films of chalco-genide vitreous semiconductors. An elementary fragment of the kinoform is formed by projecting a special mask with the subsequent image displacement relative to the film. When manufacturing lenses, a Fabry-Perot interferometer was used operating in a reflected light. This device allows us to obtain asummetrical distribution of the intensity in rings that simulates a phase distribution in a kinoform lens. The interference pattern by using a contact printing is transferred from a photoplate to a chalcogenide film.
