EFFECT OF THE METHOD OF OPERATION OF OUTCOMES IN PREGNANT APPENDECTOMY

2012
The analysis of the relationship outcome appendectomy in pregnant women and the method of operation: open and laparoscopic appendectomy. We examined examined of 206 pregnant women, operated on for acute appendicitis. We considered three groups of complications: surgical, obstetrical, exstraperitonial, highlighting the intraoperative and postoperative complications. The frequency of perioperative complications in pregnant women with acute appendicitis was dependent on the method of appendectomy, the severity of infl ammation in the abdomen and gestational age, which developed acute appendicitis. The incidence of perioperative complications was signifi cantly higher in pregnant women, operated by laparoscopic method. The average number of complications and the number of organ systems involved was signifi cantly increased in the III trimester of pregnancy and destructive forms of acute appendicitis. Postoperative polysystem dysfunction in pregnant women with acute appendicitis was closely associated with functional intestinal failure (r = 0,726, p = 0,0000) and hemodynamic disorders (r = 0,673, p = 0,001).
