Opportunities of using telemedicine technologies in the rehabilitation of patients with cardiovascular diseases

The purpose of the literature review is to assess the effectiveness of telemedicine technologies in the rehabilitation of patients with cardiovascular diseases (CVD) At present the participation of patients with CVD in cardiac rehabilitation programs remains extremely low this is associated with a small number of rehabilitation centers, imperfect cardiac rehabilitation programs, the presence of comorbidities in patients, and insufficient motivation to exercise At the same time, in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic the participation of patients in cardiac rehabilitation programs has become even more problematic The results of the review of domestic and foreign studies showed that in a certain category of cardiac patients the remote telemedicine rehabilitation programs (if properly organized) are not inferior in efficiency and safety to traditional rehabilitation programs conducted on the basis of medical centers and even surpass traditional programs in the number of attended classes Thus, the use of telemedicine technologies is a good alternative to traditional cardiac rehabilitation carried out on the basis of medical centers, and allows an increase in the number of patients participating in cardiac rehabilitation programs regardless of clinical, geographical, temporal, social and cultural barriers However, this direction in rehabilitation has a lot of unresolved issues and limitations which makes further research relevant (English) [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] Цель обзора литературы Оценка эффективности применения телемедицинских технологий в реабилитации пациентов, имеющих сердечно-сосудистые заболевания (ССЗ) В настоящее время участие пациентов с ССЗ в программах кардиореабилитации остается чрезвычайно низким, что связано с малым количеством реабилитационных центров, несовершенством программ кардиореабилитации, наличием сопутствующих заболеваний у пациентов и недостаточной мотивированностью к занятиям При этом в условиях пандемии COVID-19 участие пациентов в программах кардиореабилитации стало еще более проблематичным Результаты проведенного обзора отечественных и зарубежных исследований показали, что у определенной категории кардиологических пациентов дистанционные телемедицинские программы реабилитации при правильной организации не уступают по эффективности и безопасности традиционным программам реабилитации, проводимым на базе медицинских центров, а по количеству посещаемых занятий даже превосходят традиционные программы Таким образом, применение телемедицинских технологий является хорошей альтернативой традиционной кардиореабилитации, проводимой на базе медицинских центров, и позволяет увеличить число пациентов, участвующих в программах кардиореабилитации независимо от клинических, географических, временных, социальных и культурных барьеров Однако это направление в реабилитации имеет достаточно много нерешенных вопросов и ограничений, что актуализирует дальнейшие исследования (Russian) [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] Copyright of Profilakticheskaya Meditsina is the property of Media Sphere Publishing House and its content may not be copied or emailed to multiple sites or posted to a listserv without the copyright holder's express written permission However, users may print, download, or email articles for individual use This abstract may be abridged No warranty is given about the accuracy of the copy Users should refer to the original published version of the material for the full abstract (Copyright applies to all Abstracts )
