Os Deficientes Visuais e a Educação a Distância / The Visually Impaired and Distance Education

Se o surgimento Tecnologias de Informacao e Comunicacao (TIC) revolucionou a vida de pessoas nao deficientes, e bem possivel imaginar o que acrescentou aos deficientes visuais. Computadores, impressoras em Braille, leitores de tela, facilitam a comunicacao e a troca de informacoes, o que permite maior integracao e preparo emocional da pessoa com deficiencia em relacao a nao-deficiente. No tocante ao processo de ensino aprendizagem os Ambientes Virtuais de Aprendizagem (AVAs) estao modificando as antigas formas de ensinar e aprender e conferem apoio na modalidade da educacao semipresencial ou a distância. Entretanto, as plataformas utilizadas para EAD nao privilegiam a educacao para todos e sem barreiras. Procurando contribuir com a educacao a distância (EAD) inclusiva, este artigo versara sobre a aprendizagem do deficiente visual, delimita seu perfil e apresenta as modificacoes realizadas na plataforma Moodle para que o deficiente visual possa melhor utiliza-la. A metodologia, inicialmente, utilizada para este trabalho foi, primeiramente, a revisao bibliografica que concentrou sua busca a partir de metodos propostos por Stanley Loh para o processo de identificacao de conceitos baseados em um modelo contextual. Em um segundo momento, foi desenvolvida uma pesquisa aplicada na plataforma Moodle. Palavras Chave: Educacao a Distância, Educacao Inclusiva, Deficientes Visuais, Moodle. Abstract If the emergence of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT)revolutionized the lives of people without disabilities, it is quite possible to imagine what it does to the blind. Computers, printers, Braille, screen readers, facilitate communication and exchange of information, allowing greater integration and emotional preparation of the disabled person in relation to non-disabled. Concerning the teaching and learning process the Learning Management Systems (LMS) are changing the old ways of teaching and learning and provide support in the form of semi-face education or distance. However, the platforms used for distance education do not emphasize education for all and without barriers. Looking for help inclusive elearning, this article will focus on learning of blind people, determines its profile and shows the changes made in Moodle for the visually impaired can better use it. The methodology initially used for this study was the literature review that focused their search on the basis of methods proposed by Stanley Loh for the process of  identifying concepts based on a contextual model.
