A method and packing machine for packing products

The invention relates to a method of producing a package (28) by means of a tray sealing machine (1). A package (28) in this case comprises a container (15), at least two lid foils (13, 14) and a plurality of products (16, 22), of which the product in the container (15) and a further product (22) between two lid foils (13, 14). The first product (16) before a closing station (3) into the container (15) brought, the second product (22) is brought to a first cover sheet (13) before the container, the cover film and the products together with a second cover sheet (14) which is located above the first cover sheet (13), the sealing station (3) are fed.
