ÜNİVERSİTE ÖĞRENCİLERİNİN DOMUZ GRİBİ VE AŞISI HAKKINDA DÜŞÜNCELERİ

Viral hastaliklar toplumun her kesimini etkilemesine ragmen influenza daha cok genc nufusu etkilemektedir. Metabolik hastaligi, kalp ve akciger hastaligi olanlar, hamileler ve immun sistemi zayiflamis olanlar daha cok etkilenmektedir. Bu arastirma universite ogrencilerinin domuz gribinden korunma yollari ve domuz gribi asisi konusunda ne dusunduklerini belirlemek, bilgi duzeylerini saptamak ve saglikla ilgili gundemi takip edip etmediklerini belirlemek amaciyla planlanmistir. Saglik Hizmetleri Meslek Yuksekokulu ile Saglik Yuksekokulu’nda ogrenim goren toplam 386 ogrenci ile bire bir gorusme yontemi ile anket uygulanmis, domuz gribine iliskin sorular sorulmustur. Ogrencilerin 189’u (%49.3) hastalik hakkinda yeterince bilgi sahibi olmadiklarini ve 91’i (%23.5) hastaligi yuksek riskli olarak degerlendirmelerine karsin asi yaptirmayi dusunmediklerini belirtmislerdir. Abstract Although viral disease effects all ages the population, influenza highly affects young adults. Patintes with underlying metabolic diseases, heart and chest diseases and weak immune system and also pregnants are more affected. This aim of this study was to determine the knowledge levels of the university students about swine flu and vaccine, and to determine if they keep abreast of current health information or not. A face-to-face questionnaire about swine flu was performed to 386 Vocational Health Service School and Health Highschool students. It is determined that 189 (49.3%) students did not have enough information about swineflu and although 91 (23.5%) students thought that it is a high risk disease they did not want to be vaccinated .
