The reviewed book is entitled Free Space Optical Networks for Ultra-Broad Band Services (Kartalopoulo, S.; 2011). The book does a very good job at providing an all-around exposition of the field of free space optical (FSO) communication. It would serve as a good reference for new readers in the area and for experts as well. This book can serve as a good second reference for students in the area of wireless/optical communication.
