Screening ward nurses' performance appraisal index for a Three-Grade Class A hospital using Delphi expert consultation method

Objectives:To screen ward nurses' performance appraisal index system for a Three-Grade Class A hospital in Beijing and to provide a scientific basis for nurses' performance appraisal.Methods:We selected 15 clinical nurse managers and nursing management experts in a Three-Grade Class A hospital in Beijing and conducted two rounds of expert consultation using Delphi expert consultation method.Results:The expert authority coefficient was 0.866 and the variation coefficient of expert opinion was less than 25%.The effective rates of two rounds of questionnaires were 100%.We screened 4 indicators in first level,18 indicators in second level and 34 indicators in third level after two rounds of expert consultations.Conclusion:The authority of experts in this study was in high degree and the expert cooperation was good.The performance appraisal index has high scientific nature and reliability to provide a theoretical basis for nurses' performance appraisal in a Three-Grade Class A hospital.
