The effect of nifedipine on peroxidation and some antioxidant factors in polymorphonuclear granulocytes of peripheral blood

1997
: It was found that nifedipine used in patients in doses 30 mg per day decreased lipids peroxidation in polymorphonuclear granulocytes measured by lower malonyl dialdehyde concentration. In the some time nifedipine enhanced antioxidant activity of granulocytes measured by increased superoxide dismutase and selenium-dependent glutathione peroxidase activities and higher concentration of reduced glutathione.
