In the article questions of studying the opportunities of semantization of lexical units by students with speech underdevelopment are offered for consideration. The problem of dictionary interpretation is analyzed from the point of view of text activity of pupils. The author has conducted the research within which features of creation of texts interpretation by school students with speech underdevelopment are characterized. The prevailing strategies of semantization of words are defined, possibilities for realization of category of informational content are revealed.
