The preparation of dimeric N-acet-glucosamine by hydrolytic degradaion using hydrochloric acid from chitin

2005
Chitin was obtained by alternately dealing shrimp-shells with acid and alkali. By partial hydrolysis of chitin in concentrated hydrochloric acid to get the mixture of chitodigosacharides. the outcomes were chromatographed on charcoal column for purification, then dimeric N-acet-glucosamine was obtained. The experiment investigated infections of temperature and time as well as the concentration of experiments hydrochloric to the partial hydrolysis of chitin. The results of experiments suggest that the best conditions of chitin's hydrolysis were 50 ℃/5.5h/6.0mol·L~(-1) hydrochloric acid. The best concentration of washing solution to separate N-acet-glucosamine was 5% ethanal solution. On these conditions, the dimeric (N-acet-glucosamine) was accessible in the highest yield 24.06%.
