A supervisão: Funções e Competências do Supervisor Supervision: Functions and Skills of the Supervisor

This article presents an analysis of school supervision, understood as the school’s sustainability factor. The complexity of our days determines that school is to be seen as a “learning organization”. To imagine school as such seems to be a difficult path, which requires the commitment of all in a contextualized, collaborative, interactive, cooperative and reflective learning process, having the improvement of the educational processes as goal. In order to make the understanding of supervisors possible in a learning organization, it was chosen to bring out the specificity of their functions and competences, supported by the legislation.
