PEMBERIAN AIR SISTEM KAPILER PADA TANAMAN TOMAT (SOLANUM LYCOPERSICUM L.) VARIETAS PERMATA DENGAN BERBAGAI PANJANG SUMBU, VOLUME AIR DAN MEDIA TANAM

2018
The objective of this research was to determine the effect of water supply capillary system with various wick length, planting medium and water volume on Permata varieties. This research has been conducted from June to November 2017 at the greenhouse of agricultural technology department, Faculty of agriculture, Sriwijaya University, Indralaya, Ogan Ilir district, South Sumatera. This research was conducted using (Factorial Randomzed Block Design) using three treatment factors and three repetitions. The first factor is the length of the wick of 20 cm (A1) and the wick length of 15 cm (A2), the second factor is the water volume of 1600 ml (B1) and the water volume of 1200 ml (B2), and the third factor is the medium of ultisol sand mixed soil (C1), ultisol soil mixed with husk charcoal (C2), and mixed medium of ultisol mixture cocopeat (C3) soil. The parameters observed were water use per phase, soil moisture content, plant height, number of leaves, number of fruit, fruit weight, wet trim weight, dry weight, and water use efficiency. The results showed that the treatment of A1 (20 cm) and A2 (15 cm) wick lengths and the treatment of water volume (B2 1200 ml and B1 1600 ml) and mixed soil ultisol sand (C1), ultisol mixed charcoal husk (C2) and soil ultisol mix cocopeat (C3) have real effect on all parameters observed. The best treatment was found on A2B2C2 with 7 tomatoes, used water of 57.39 cm3, counted leaves to 94.67 and height 75.97 cm.
