THERMODYNAMIC ANALYSIS OF NAPHTHENIC ACID HYDROGEN SULPHIDE CORROSION IN OIL DISTILLATION

2000
The properties of naphthenic acid hydrogen sulphide corrosion have thermodynamically been discussed. The results showed that ferro\|sulphide formed on the surface of iron in oil containing high concentration of sulphur and high acidic value has protective ability below 398.98K, however above the temperature may loss the protective function. Temperture and concentration of the solution have influence on the composition of corrosion products. The possible dissolving mechanism of ferro\|sulphide in naphthenic acid is proposed ,more over ,the principle of selecting film\|formed inhibitors in also discussed.
