The kinetic studies on the azo crown mono-schiff base Co(II) complex as a mimic hydrolytic enzyme catalyzed BNPP hydrolysis

2004
The transitional metal schiff base complexes containing azo crown as mimic hydrolytic enzyme were used for catalyzing BNPP hydrolysis. The kinetics and the mechanism on BNPP hydrolysis catalyzed by two azo crown mono-schiff base Co(Ⅱ) complexes were investigated. The change of characteristic spectra of the reactive systems was analyzed. A kinetic mathematical model of BNPP cleavage catalyzed by the azo crown mono-schiff base Co(Ⅱ) complexes was proposed. The results showed that the supposition of forming the intermediate in the reactive process was reasonable and the rate for the BNPP hydrolysis catalyzed by the complexes was increased following the increase of pH of the buffer solution. Two complexes exhibited high activity in the BNPP catalytic hydrolysis.
