Os ESCRAVOS EM REGISTROS DE BATISMO E DE ÓBITO DE GOIÁS NOS SÉCULOS XVIII E XIX

The mutual interest of two studies the issue of black slavery in Goias came together in this text, which aimed to present a study about the theme in manuscripts of the XVIII to the XIX century, more specifically, in parish registers of baptism and death in the region. Motivated the convergence of research the fact that both treat of a same documentary species, the parish register (BELLOTTO, 2002), but with specificities that derive from the purposes of the registers of baptism and death. Excerpts from semidiplomatic edition of the documents and a brief lexical inventory carried in these corroborate the similarities and differences between the registers referred and evidence the differentiated treatment afforded to blacks compared to other ethnicities.
