Abstract Algebra: Ring Theory

It is as if we have encountered many different kinds of animals, and were so struck by the one immediately in view and what it can do, that we never stopped to compare the different kinds to each other. So let us stop now and ask what kind of patterns we saw and what we should call the different families of numbers we found.
