The invention concerns a training device (1) for simulating and practising dental procedures, the device having a dummy bust (6) with a chest, neck (16) and head (7), the bust being mounted so that it can pivot on a support (4). The head (7) pivots about a joint (17) into various work positions and can be fixed in each position on a head support. The joint (17) is located in the neck (16). The lower end of the neck (16) has an approximately central opening (28) and the head support is a rod which engages in this opening. The joint (17) is mounted on the rod, and the rod is held in the chest of the dummy.
